New company member: Aéroprotec
Created in 2005 by Thierry Haure Mirande, the AEROPROTEC group is a leader in surface treatment of metal parts for aeronautics. With nationally and internationally recognized know-how on very complex parts, the SME works with major clients in the sector: Airbus, Safran, Embaer and Dassault.
The group is present with its three production sites Aeroprotec Pau in the South-West of France (parent company), Aeroprotec GDIM in Sauvagnon (site dedicated to large dimensions and Registration, Evaluation, Authorization and restriction of CHemicals (REACH) compliant processes), Aeroprotec Saint-Nicolas-de-Redon in Pays-de-Loire as well as internationally with its subsidiary in Tunisia.
Finally, the subsidiary Aeroprotec Services prepares the future of the group based on a constant technological watch, process development expertise and academic collaborations. One of the challenges is to respond to the changes in surface treatment processes imposed by the European REACH directive and prepare the decarbonization of the industry. This strategy of innovation, performance, quality and reduction of the manufacturing cycle is also part of a context of globalization of the aeronautics sector.
At a time when the reduction of climate and the carbon impact are becoming a priority, we are committed to act. This is why Aéroprotec Pau and Aéroprotec GDim have been selected to participate in the French Decarbonation Accelerator program. The objective: to undertake a long-term low-carbon transition for a greener aeronautical industry.
This is also the framework for the development of research and development programs. These are based on two major lines of research such as the development of new bio-sourced coatings for the sector or secure traceability.
