Ballerup, January 21, 2025 – Schneider Electric Denmark welcomes Sofie Irgens as the new Country President. With more than 15 years of experience in leadership roles in technology-heavy and iconic companies, she takes over from Thomas Träger, who will continue as Senior Vice President of Business Transformation in the Nordics and Baltics at Schneider Electric.

Thomas Träger has played a crucial role in transforming Schneider Electric Denmark. Under his leadership, the company's financial performance has more than doubled, employee engagement has reached new heights, and inclusion has become a cornerstone of the company's culture.

"Leading Schneider Electric Denmark has been one of the most rewarding tasks of my career. I am proud of what we have achieved together, and I would like to extend a big thank you to all my colleagues, our partners and customers for their trust, commitment and partnership over the years. I am sure that Sofie is the right person to build on the strong foundation we have built," says Thomas Träger.

Sofie Irgens has a deep-rooted belief in purpose-driven leadership, which has characterized her entire career. She has previously led transformations in companies such as Danfoss, Vestas Offshore Wind and Velux, where she has combined technological innovation with energy-efficient solutions. Sofie holds a Master of Science in Engineering from the Technical University of Denmark (DTU).

"I am glad to become part of a company that has sustainability as the core element. Here, I will build on the work that employees and management have already achieved and accelerate our growth strategy in electrification and energy-efficient solutions. At the same time, I will strengthen the collaboration with customers and partners to create sustainable results. I believe in the value of innovation and development – it's the way we learn and improve that defines us. As a leader, I strive to create a culture characterized by trust, respect, and high ambitions, where we together reach new heights and show what Schneider Electric Denmark can do," says Sofie Irgens.

The handover between Thomas Träger and Sofie Irgens is already underway, and together they will ensure a smooth transition. Schneider Electric Denmark's strategy remains unchanged with a focus on digitalization, electrification, and energy efficiency.
