Summary of the Saint-Gobain event - Young Danish-French Chamber of Commerce

The Young Danish-French Chamber of Commerce (YDFCC) marked the beginning of a new era with its launch in January 2020. The first event was held at Saint-Gobain on the 23th of January 2020 with the focus on Digital Transformation.

The guests were welcomed by the consultant responsible for the Young Chamber, Elena Kremenchugskaya, who informed the guests about the objectives of the Young Chamber, the upcoming event in March with Total and other events with the Danish-French Chamber of Commerce open to members from the Young Chamber as well.

Afterwards Marine Artz, Grow Hacker within the Digital Department at Saint-Gobain, briefly presented Saint-Gobain and went into details about their digital strategy implying new ways of working and tools such as PIM (Product Information Management) which allows to gain time.  Indeed, many tools and methods are available on the market but they have to make sense to the company in order to be used internally.

After the conference the participants were divided into teams for the interactive quiz about comfort and sustainability where the competitive spirit was activated. The winning team got a price they could bring home.

When the quiz was over, the participants could start the networking cocktail. To follow the French January tradition the French cake, “Galette des rois” was served. The participants could freely walk around in the “Habitarium”, a space dedicated to comfort, sustainability and digitalization. There was a 3D session as well which was animated by Margot Polecinski, Habitarium Manager at Saint-Gobain, where one small group at the time could enter a room to visualize a building in 3D from within. Another activity within the 3D room was a brain game where brain impulses were monitored to see how individually the attendees perceive external stimulus in a room such as sounds and light which all have an impact on the concentration.

A great thank you to the participants and to Saint-Gobain for a delightful evening.
