Exclusive conference on The Future of Transport at the French Embassy, with a particular focus on sustainable development and the transition toward more environmentally responsible solutions.
On Wednesday 15th of April, The Danish-French Chamber of Commerce had the pleasure to invite our members to a high-level conference on The Future of Transport at the French Embassy.
During this event we had an exclusive presentation by leading actors from the road, airline, maritime and rail industries to share their vision of tomorrow’s mobility, In order to shape a greener and more efficient future:
- Mathieu Girardin, Executive Vice President, Head of Ferry Division, DFDS.
- Jörg Nikutta, Managing Director, Alstom.
- Eric Grégoire, CEO, Scandlines.
- Alexander Bjørn Jensen, Director, Regional Head of Sustainability for Road Europe, DSV.
- Kirsten Kromann-Larsen, Nordic Marketing & Event Coordinator, Air France KLM North Europe, replacing Soili Varpula, Sales Development Manager for Air France KLM North Europe, due to unforeseen circumstances.
- Søren Hyltoft, Head of Communication & Marketing, Renault Denmark.
Together they discussed the future outlook of the transport industry. It undergoes major transformation driven by sustainability challenges and technological innovation with a particular focus on sustainable development and the transition toward more environmentally responsible solutions. Some of the key messages included a need for international regulation in the different industries and public investment in infrastructure. This conference was artfully moderated by Jeppe Juul, Transport Policy Manager & Acting CEO at Green Transition Denmark.
Afterwards, we invited our participants to join us for a networking cocktail and we honoured our long-time Chairman of the Chamber, Anders Torbøl, for both his recent 80-year birthday and his many years of hard work for the Chamber.
