We are delighted to announce our inaugural ESG Volunteer Day on September 11th, featuring an enriching program of hands-on volunteer workshops in the morning, followed by a networking lunch and an insightful conference on cutting-edge ESG topics.

Recognizing the challenges organizations face in implementing meaningful ESG initiatives, our committee has developed this comprehensive volunteer day specifically for our member companies' employees. Through strategic partnerships with leading NGOs and community organizations, we've curated a selection of high-impact volunteer opportunities that create tangible social, economic, and environmental value. Employees can choose from various workshops that align with their interests and your organization's ESG objectives

Our 5 ESG Workshop Opportunities:

Social Help with DanChurchAid / Folkekirkens Nødhjælp

1. Join DanChurchAid's textile sustainability program at their Albertslund facility, where you'll contribute to their circular economy efforts by helping sort and process donated clothing for their retail operations. This workshop can accommodate 15 volunteers. You can read more about the shops here.

2. Support DanChurchAid's innovative Wefood locations in either Nørrebro or Amager. Volunteers will engage in essential retail operations, including inventory management, store preparation, and customer engagement. Each location can host 3 volunteers.

Learn more about Wefood here.

Cleaning Amager Strandpark

3. Partner with Copenhagen Municipality in a focused environmental stewardship initiative at Amager Strandpark. Participants will contribute to preserving this vital recreational space through targeted cleanup efforts while experiencing this stunning coastal area.

Cleaning Copenhagen’s canals

4. Participate in an innovative water conservation project with Green Kayak, combining environmental action with adventure. This dynamic program rotates participants between canal cleanup via kayak (two-person teams), shoreline conservation, and an upcycling workshop using collected materials. Capacity: 40 volunteers divided into two coordinated groups.

Forest Preservation Workshop

5. Contribute to environmental sustainability by participating in ecoTree's post-summer forest maintenance in West Sjælland. This hands-on conservation effort focuses on protecting young tree growth by managing competitive vegetation, directly contributing to Denmark's green future.

Registration and Logistics:

Pricing:
You can sign up one or several groups of your employees for this day, and they can each select their workshop to engage in. The cost to participate is 400 DKK per person. This fee covers all organizational costs, including refreshments and lunch. The Green Kayak experience requires an additional cost of 250 DKK per person due to specialized equipment requirements.

Registration Process:
Please secure your team's participation by contacting Samuel through this link. Include your preferred workshop selections and participant numbers. Registration closes August 29th, and spaces are allocated on a first-come basis.
