Mot du président - Mars 2026

Dear Members,

In an international environment marked by persistent tensions and growing uncertainty, France and Denmark have succeeded in deepening their cooperation to address shared challenges together. In recent months, our two countries have intensified their collaboration and strengthened their ties as never before.

As a Danish proverb reminds us, “A friend in need is a friend indeed.” The visit of President Emmanuel Macron to Greenland, the deployment of French troops, and the opening of the French Consulate General in Nuuk have all demonstrated the strength and vitality of our partnership.

We would like to express our deepest gratitude to His Excellency Mr. Christophe Parisot, Ambassador of France to Denmark, as well as to the entire Embassy team, whose unwavering commitment has helped turn this historic rapprochement between our two nations into a reality.

The results of this positive momentum are already tangible: between 2020 and 2024, Danish exports to France increased by 42%. While the growth of French exports to Denmark was initially more gradual, it is now accelerating, with a 15.5% increase recorded in 2025.

These developments call for greater mobilization within our Chamber. It is now our responsibility to seize this opportunity and support businesses in fully leveraging this strengthened bilateral relationship.

The year 2026 promises to bring both challenges and significant opportunities. We count on your continued commitment as we move forward together.

Dear Members, I extend to you my very best wishes for success in the year ahead.

Yours sincerely,
The Danish-French Chamber of Commerce
