ATOUT FRANCE, the French tourism development agency, is recruiting a Promotion & Event Officer for Denmark, Norway, Finland and the Baltic countries, based in Copenhagen, starting on 1 January 2027. Do you have a passion for France and strong organisational and event managing skills? Maybe it is your chance to join the team of ATOUT FRANCE, that promotes France as a touristic destination in the Nordics. You are expected to have professional proficiency in both French and English, as well as a basic knowledge of at least one Scandinavian language. Previous experience in the tourism sector is not required. Young professionals are welcome to apply.
Mission
Your mission will mainly consist in organising events and in building up partnerships to promote France as a touristic destination to tour operators, travel agencies and other specifiers. You will formally report to the head of office, and operationally to the head of marketing. You will coordinate with all members of our small team in Copenhagen as well as with your counterpart based in Sweden. Your main tasks will consist in:
- Organizing events, roadshows, webinars, workshops and prospection, from A to Z including budget management.
- Managing relationships with professionals from the tourism sector in Denmark, Norway, Finland and the Baltic countries (agencies, tour operators...) as well as with French partners (B2B promotion managers).
- Accompany delegations on discovery visits to France and the Nordic countries, including to fairs.
- Drafting e-news and newsletters targeting professionals.
- Managing our CRM database on your geographical scope.
- Monitoring the tourism sector and detecting opportunities and partnerships.
Your profile
We welcome applications from candidates with diverse backgrounds. Ideally, we expect you to have/be:
- A bachelor or a master's degree in a relevant field (event management, marketing, tourism...).
- Strong organisational skills and ability to build long-term working relationships.
- Excellent communication skills and a professional manner.
- Good knowledge of France as a tourist destination. Some knowledge of the tourism actors in Denmark (Finland, Norway and the Baltic countries) will be a plus but is not mandatory.
- Very good command in English and French. We also expect you to have at least a basic knowledge of one of the Scandinavian languages and a willingness to improve your proficiency.
- Hands-on, autonomous and a true team player.
- Available for travelling to France and in the Nordic countries around 20 days a year.
