HRH the Crown Prince and the Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities visit Schneider Electric

On Monday the 25th of April, HRH the Crown Prince of Denmark and the Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities, Dan Jørgensen, visited a number of companies that all deal with producing and developing energy efficient solutions to help ensure that we utilize our energy as efficiently as possible – for the good of both the economy and the climate. Schneider Electric in Ballerup was amongst these visited companies.

Energy efficiency is vital for the green transition and on the 25th of April, HRH the Crown Prince together with Minister for Climate, Energy and Utilities Dan Jørgensen, visited four of the world’s leading companies in terms of energy efficiency.

Denmark has a strong presence when it comes to energy efficiency and some the most innovative technologies and solutions are being developed by Schneider Electric.

In the period from 2018 to 2020 alone, Schneider Electric helped save 134 mil. tons of CO2 emissions globally on behalf of their customers – 10 times more than the amount of CO2 that Denmark still needs to eradicate in order to reach the ambition of a 70 percent reduction in emissions by 2030. Schneider Electric was in 2021 named the most sustainable company in the world and develops intelligent energy control systems, amongst other innovations.

Schneider Electric’s technologies and solutions will also be featured at this summer’s International Energy Agency (IEA) energy efficiency conference. Denmark will host and co-organize this conference, which is taking place in June in Sønderborg. The conference will gather Ministers of energy and CEOs from the entire world to discover solutions that can help improve energy efficiency globally.
