Exclusive visit to the new Danske Bank HQ! Inside Danske Bank’s engine room: how companies really grow – and how you can grow with them.

We are very happy to invite you to the next YDFCC event, a fantastic visit to the new HQ of Danske Bank. During this afterwork visit, we will have an exclusive presentation by CFO of Danske Bank, Cécile Hillary, and M&A Principal Analyst, Floris Welcker. Afterwards, we invite you to join us for a networking cocktail.

Date and time: Tuesday April 7, 16:00-18:30.

Location: Danske Bank HQ, Bernstorffsgade 40, 1577 København V.

7th of April 2026 - open doors from 3:45pm, start at 4:15pm sharp, check-in is mandatory.

16:15 – 16:20: -Introduction from the Board of Danish-French Chamber of Commerce and Danske Bank International Community

16:20 – 16:45: - Presentation from Cecile Hillary (Chief Financial Officer) 

Presentation by Cécile Hillary, Chief Financial Officer

Cécile Hillary will present an overview of Danske Bank and share her perspective on what defines successful growth in today’s banking environment. Beyond financial performance, she will discuss how factors such as risk management, corporate culture, customer impact and more contribute to long-term value creation. 

She will also provide insights into how capital allocation decisions are made within a large financial institution - highlighting how strategic priorities are translated into investment choices, what types of initiatives receive funding, and how these decisions support the bank’s overall ambitions.

Drawing from her own professional journey, Cécile will reflect on the key decisions and turning points that shaped her career. She will share her personal definition of professional success and offer reflections on lessons she wishes she had understood earlier in her career, particularly during the pivotal years around the age of 28-30.

16:45 – 17:10: M&A with Floris Welcker (M&A Principal Analyst, Group Strategy Steering) 

Presentation by Floris Welcker, M&A Principal Analyst, Group Strategy Steering

Floris Welcker will explore the role that Danske Bank plays in supporting companies and entrepreneurs in reaching their full potential. Through the lens of mergers and acquisitions, he will discuss how financial institutions help drive strategic growth and transformation.

His presentation will also examine what defines a successful deal. Drawing on his experience in M&A, Floris will highlight patterns observed among companies that grow sustainably compared to those that struggle to realize the expected value from transactions.

In addition, Floris will share insights from his own professional path and discuss how young professionals can position themselves to contribute to strategic projects early in their careers. He will outline the types of skills and mindsets that tend to be particularly valuable in dynamic and growing organizations.
