Cycling through a city or working in the same offce space every day should be stimulating and feel good. We strive for the architecture to be a catalyst of good experiences.

Dissing+Weitling also advice on accessibility and the sustainable potentials of mobility and building project.

The formation of Dissing+Weitling

Dissing+Weitling was founded in 1971 to continue the work started by the world-renowned practice of Arne Jacobsen. Hans Dissing was Office Manager for Arne Jacobsen, while Otto Weitling worked as Associated Partner on the firm’s German projects. Following the death of Arne Jacobsen in 1971, Hans Dissing and Otto Weitling were requested to continue the work on Arne Jacobsen’s many projects, amongst them Danmarks Nationalbank.

The heritage gives Dissing+Weitling a unique foundation in Danish design and architecture history, and we carry this in our DNA - it forms an uninterrupted thread through 50 years of projects to date. Our port- folio includes iconic buildings such as Danmarks Nationalbank, the Great Belt Fixed Link and the Bicycle Snake, and the practice transforms Nordic design heritage into buildings for today and tomorrow.

Led by five partners, Dissing+Weitling consists of around 50 architects, designers, technicians and administrative personnel.
