Huge deal makes Alstom an international train giant
By the end of January 2021, Alstom announced the acquisition of Bombardier Transportation. This creates a global mobility leader committed to respond to the increasing need for greener transportation worldwide. A comprehensive product portfolio, unparalleled R&D innovation capabilities, and extensive commercial reach will leverage the many complementarities of the two.
Together the two companies have about 75,000 employees in 70 countries and a turnover of approximately EUR 15.7 billion. In the Nordics, Alstom grows with approx. 1 500 people and become over 2,000 employees of over 30 locations.
