Danish-French Cup 2021

The annual edition of the Danish-French Cup has come to an end and was a great success!

This year, we had the pleasure of organizing the tournament in collaboration with Brøndby IF at their stadium. Thank you to Christian for helping us make this day memorable for all the participants. A huge thank you to 360 Law Firm who were the main sponsor of the event, we are very grateful for your support. Please find more information about 360 Law Firm by clicking here.

The day started in the rain at the meeting point near the pitches, where the chairman of the Chamber Anders Torbøl and the managing director Samuel Vaillant-Jørgensen welcomed the participants. Afterwards, the weather improved and the tournament could begin on time.

This year, we had the pleasure of welcoming several new teams: 360 Law Firm, LEAD & Rödl, DSV, Moët & Hennessy, ALD Automotive and Grant Thornton were all new unknown talents this year! Together with our most loyal participants, Saint-Gobain and Copenhague Accueil both competing for the fifth year in a row, and of course the Chamber’s own team, we had an interesting tournament consisting of 9 teams joining in friendly competition for the medals.

The tournament consisted of two seperate group stages that resulted in two semi-finals. DSV met Copenhague Accueil in the final, after seeing victory against the Chamber of Commerce and ALD Automotive, respectively. At the end of the day, DSV proved the strongest team after a close final against the experienced players from Copenhague Accueil. Congratulations to all the DSV players, who won the final 2-0. The award ceremony was held inside Brøndby Stadium overlooking the pitch and medals were awarded by the French Ambassador, Caroline Ferrari. Besides the medals, Moët & Hennessy kindly provided prizes for the top 3 teams.

The day also provided additional entertainment and alternatives to the football. The Family Park included a jumpy castle for the kids, along with PlayStations for both children and young minded adults ;-). During the day the participants were also offered the opportunity for a guided tour of the Brøndby IF Stadium, one at 14.00 and one after the award ceremony.

The Chamber of Commerce would like thank everybody who came and spent their Saturday with us at Brøndby Stadium. We hope to see all of you for next year’s edition of the Danish-French Cup!
