The annual Danish-French Football Tournament 2023
On the 15th of September, the Chamber invited its company members for a day of sports and fun by the sunlit Brøndby Stadion.
The occasion was of course: The Danish-French Football Tournament - the 6th of its kind!
For six hours, 14 teams from 12 different companies gave it everything they had across two different tournaments.
The competing teams in the Friendly Tournament were:
- Novo Nordisk
- TotalEnergies
- Moët Hennessy
- 360 Law Firm
- Saint-Gobain team 1
- Saint-Gobain team 2
- TSG
- Vinci Construction
In this tournament, the winner was TotalEnergies who played the final against Novo Nordisk.
The competing teams in the Champions League tournament were:
- Lead, Rödl & Partner
- L’Oréal
- Duuo
- ALD/ Leaseplan 1
- ALD/ Leaseplan 2
- Alstom
In this tournament, the winner was Alstom who competed in the final against L’Oréal.
Congratulations to both winners and all the runner-ups.
As the tournament came to an end, and the players had burnt all their energy on the fields, it was time to refill the deposits with a welcome drink sponsored by Les Grands Chais de France. The wines served during the dinner was equally sponsored by Les Grands Chais de France. Thank you for your delicious contribution to the event!
After the drink, the participants were invited upstairs in the Michael Laudrup Lounge where dinner would be served, but before the guests found to their seats, they had the chance to go outside and enjoy the view of the legendary stadium.
During the award show, every player from each winning team was awarded with a medal along with a bottle of Moët Champagne – offered by Moët Hennessy. Additionally, each team was able to bring home a large cup to decorate the office with.
Just like last year, this year’s tournament offered a great and green opportunity to competing teams in collaboration with Ecotree. For every goal the teams scored, Ecotree is going to plant a tree in their forest in Denmark. This year all the teams were able to plant 209 trees combined!
We, and the forests thank both the teams who scored the many goals, and the teams who let the others score!
