KEY ACCOUNT MANAGER DENMARK (M/F)

Job Offer: Les Grands Chais de France are recruiting a Key Account Manager in DK!
Do you have a few years of experience in sales and a commercial acumen? Do you thrive working with people and numbers? This may be your chance to join a well-known international wine group. Previous experience in the wine sector is not required. Fluency in Danish and English is essential, and knowledge of French is considered an advantage.
The position offers a flexible location within Denmark, ideally based in the Copenhagen area.

Les Grands Chais de France is the leading wine producer and merchant in Europe and ranks fifth worldwide. Our portfolio includes well-known brands such as Calvet, JP Chenet and François Martenot. We have been active in Denmark since the 1980s, where our business continues to expand.
YOUR PLAYING FIELD WILL BE...
Your mission is to develop Grand Chais de France sales through its international brands and domains in Denmark through the on-trade channel. You take care of a portfolio of 50 B to B customers (distributors).
You work under the supervision of the Country Manager located in Copenhagen. You also collaborate with different group departments (logistics, marketing, oenologists, …) located in Europe.
Your main responsibilities are to
1/ Apply the business strategy established by the Country Manager on your area:
Build and develop the product range strategy.
Make sure the price and business policies are respected.
Initiate, launch and overview marketing campaigns.
2/ Submit product range according to the concerning market with a GCF perspective:
Analyze the customer and its portfolio to identify gaps and ensure relevant product positioning from a GCF perspective.
Develop tailored solutions, optimize product priorities, and negotiate product listings.
Proactively grow your district while maintaining strong collaboration with internal departments to strengthen and expand the product range.
3/ Build and manage strong, long-term relationships with customers to support business growth:
Understand customers’ organisation, stakeholders, and decision-making processes, and maintain regular engagement with key decision makers.
Negotiate trade agreements, product listings, and promotions, while ensuring proper administrative implementation (budget, reporting).
Ensure business continuity by resolving payment or quality issues and proactively prospecting new opportunities.
Plan and coordinate customer meetings, visits, and tastings, including agenda setting, document preparation, and reporting.
4/ Comply with customer’s administrative requirements:
Independently take care of product administration.
Alongside the Country Manager, ensure compliance with legal requirements, CSR, etc.
The role includes regular travel within Denmark (around once a month), preferably with your own car, as well as occasional trips to our headquarters in France and participation in European trade fairs.
You will work from home or from an office in central Copenhagen.
YOU ARE OUR NEXT GRAND CRU IF...
You ideally hold a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Sales, Business, or a related field. Candidates with other academic backgrounds are also welcome.
You have at least 3 years of experience in sales, ideally in the retail industry, and good sales techniques and management skills.
You are skilled at managing and analyzing data, with a good understanding of business finance.
You master Danish and English at a professional level. Speaking French, even at a basic level, would be an advantage.
You are a people person with strong interpersonal skills and a collaborative mindset.
You are a professional user of Google Tools, Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint) and/or QLIK.
You demonstrate a strong sense of responsibility, work autonomously, and are well organized. You are proactive and maintain a constructive mindset.
You show interest in the wine and spirit sector.
