Groupe Alternance Learning Expeditions in January 2026

In January 2026, the Franco-Danish Chamber of Commerce started the year by organizing two Learning Expeditions in Copenhagen for students from Groupe Alternance, welcoming two different campuses over two separate weeks: Groupe Alternance Rennes and Groupe Alternance Mâcon.
These immersive programs offered the students a comprehensive overview of the Danish economic landscape, business culture and sustainability practices through meetings with key institutions and leading companies.
Groupe Alternance Rennes
During their Learning Expedition, the students from Groupe Alternance Rennes took part in a three-day program combining institutional insights and company visits.
The first day began at the Institut Français with an introduction to Denmark, covering the Danish economy, key business sectors and the education system, providing the students with a solid understanding of Danish society. The afternoon continued with a meeting at Saint-Gobain, where the group discovered the company’s activities in the Nordics and its role within the Danish construction sector.
On the second day, the students attended a presentation of the VIE (International Corporate Volunteering) program, coordinated by Business France, highlighting international career opportunities for young professionals. The day continued with a visit to VELUX, focusing on the company’s sustainability strategy and its long-term commitment to energy efficiency and well-being in the indoor environment.
The final day was dedicated to sustainability and energy transition. The group met with EcoTree to explore nature-based solutions and corporate engagement in biodiversity and carbon storage, followed by a visit to TotalEnergies, where discussions focused on renewable energy projects in Denmark and the company’s global transition strategy.
Groupe Alternance Mâcon
The Learning Expedition for Groupe Alternance Mâcon also opened with a conference at the Institut Français, offering a multi-faceted introduction to Denmark, including its economic environment, business culture and the experience of French companies operating in the Nordics.
The students then had a presentation of Scandlines, a key maritime player connecting Denmark and Germany, where they learned about cross-border transport, logistics and the company’s ambitious decarbonization strategy. The program continued with a presentation of the VIE program, a French international mobility scheme led by Business France, followed by a meeting with EcoTree to discuss sustainability, forest restoration and innovative environmental business models.
On the third day, the group attended a presentation by Novo Nordisk, gaining insights into the Danish pharmaceutical industry and the company’s global leadership. The Learning Expedition concluded with a visit to Schneider Electric, where students discovered the group’s activities in the Nordics and its solutions for energy management, digitalization and sustainable infrastructure.
The Franco-Danish Chamber of Commerce would like to warmly thank all the companies and institutions involved for their valuable contributions, as well as the students and teaching teams from Groupe Alternance Rennes and Mâcon for their strong interest and engagement throughout these Learning Expeditions.
